Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are having a baby! Kensington Palace confirms duchess is pregnant

Well you kinda had to know that the next best thing was going to happen for this married couple! The world can brace themselves for another royal baby!

Kensington Palace has confirmed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child, due next spring. The news comes nearly five months after their wedding on May 19. It will be the first child for the 37-year-old former actress and the prince, 34.

The couple, who have just arrived in Australia for a royal tour, were last seen at the Oct. 12 wedding of his cousin Princess Eugenie. Meghan’s voluminous Givenchy coat at that event sparked pregnancy speculation.

Meghan’s Givenchy look featured a midnight-blue, funnel-necked dress coat with three-quarter-length sleeves and a classic retro flair. In keeping with the hats-and-fascinators-mandatory dress code, she topped her low, side-swept bun with a plumed beret from milliner Noel Stewart.

The Duchess of Sussex, who appeared to be wearing a matching knee-length dress under her large-buttoned coat, finished the look with nude tights and dark navy heels.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” Kensington Palace said of the pregnancy announcement.

According to royal correspondent Chris Ship, the duchess is about 12 weeks into her pregnancy.

Baby Sussex will be the latest addition for the royal family, who welcomed Kate Middleton and Prince William’s youngest, Prince Louis, in April, as well as a daughter, Lena, for royal cousin Zara Tindall this summer. Meghan and Harry’s child is also expected to carry the title of prince or princess.
